Not a complete list for the obvious reasons. I happened across the DfT one earlier and had a quick skim of the other official department web sites. This is what I found.
Department for Transport @transportgovuk http://twitter.com/transportgovuk
Department for Children, Schools and Families @DcsfGovUk http://twitter.com/DcsfGovUk
Department for International Development @dfid_uk http://twitter.com/dfid_uk
Foreign and Commonwealth Office @foreignoffice http://www.twitter.com/foreignoffice
Ministry of Justice @mojwebteam http://twitter.com/mojwebteam
The Scottish Government @scotgovweb http://www.twitter.com/scotgovweb
Northern Ireland Assembly @niassembly http://twitter.com/niassembly
[Correct as of 15 July 2009]
Notable exceptions:
- Department for Culture, Media and Sport
- E-Government Unit
You’d really think these would, wouldn’t you?
How very odd that those two departments don’t twitter. I don’t really ‘get’ Twitter myself, but you’d expect them to be embracing new social media before most of the others. Strange.
